The fifth free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness:

On Sunday, 14th June 2015

     In accordance with the strategy of FAODA “Fayoum Agro Organic and Development Association” in the development of rural communities, and in the framework of fruitful cooperation with ” Maghrabi Foundation” , FAODA organized the fifth free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness in Fayoum “Programme of right vision for All ” sponsored by ” Maghrabi Foundation”.
This convoy served 10 villages in Fayoum governorate, totally 246 beneficiaries divided the medical services offered to them as follow: 76 patients were given free medicines – 87 were examined for taking size of eyeglasses – 49 were examined and given eyeglasses – 14 were in good health – 63 were transferred to the hospital for further examination – 33 transferred to the hospital for cataract surgery .

Based on FAODA strategy 2015, Conference of World Environment Day 2015 has conducted  in the Exploration center for science and technology at Dimo city, under patronage and presence of HE Fayoum Governor … Wael Makram,  organized and under supervision of FAODA in cooperation with MOBINIL & Al Noor Maghrabi Foundation & the Exploration center for science and technology & Fayoum University, Under the motto (Seven Billion Dreams ,,, one planet ,,, Consume with Care).

The forth free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness:

On Sunday, 31st May 2015

In accordance with the strategy of FAODA “Fayoum Agro Organic and Development Association” in the development of rural communities, and in the framework of fruitful cooperation with “Al Noor Maghrabi Foundation” , FAODA organized the forth free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness in Fayoum “Programme of right vision for All ” sponsored by “Al Noor Maghrabi Foundation”,
This convoy served 11 villages in Fayoum governorate, totally 398 beneficiaries obtained the medical services, offered to them as follow: 106 patients were given free medicines – 139 were examined for getting eye glasses – 99 were examined and given eyeglasses – 4 were in good condition – 113 were transferred to the hospital for further examination – 36 transferred to the hospital to perform cataract operation.

The third free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness:

on Thursday, 7th May 2015
The third free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness in Fayoum served 8 villages in Fayoum governorate, totally 334 beneficiaries divided the medical services offered to them as follow: 93 patients were given free medicines – 124 were examined for taking size of eyeglasses – 76 were examined and given eyeglasses – 18 were in good condition – 69 were transferred to the hospital for further examination – 30 transferred to the hospital to perform cataract operation.

The second free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness:

On Monday, 30th March 2015,
The second free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness in Fayoum served 7 villages in Fayoum governorate, totally 305 beneficiaries divided the medical services offered to them as follow: 109 patients were given free medicines – 144 were examined for taking size of eyeglasses – 93 were examined and given eyeglasses – 17 were in good condition – 98 were transferred to the hospital for further examination – 13 transferred to the hospital to perform cataract operation.

The first free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness:

On Tuesday, 16th December,2015
The first free medical convoy for eye diseases and combat blindness in Fayoum villages, this convoy has covered 12 villages in Fayoum districts the outcome of the day is
medical examination for 376 was classified as following:
12 patients were in good condition and do not have any eye disease & 37 patients were given free medicines & 198 patients were examined for making medical glasses included “125 patients were examined and given economic & medical glasses”, therefore 99 patients were transferred to the hospital for further medical checkups, Finally 30 patients were transferred to the hospital on 20, 21 /12/2014 to perform cataract operation.

     In the framework of cooperation between FAODA and Mobinil, World Environment Day Conference was held in Fayoum Nile Media center, Under the motto (Raise your voice not above the sea level), in the presence of Dr. Hazem Attia Allah … Fayoum Governor also Dr. Fared Haider … Deputy of Fayoum University President and Eng. Ewes Saeed … Director of Fayoum Environmental Affairs Agency.

Roof and balcony planting symposium :

On Wednesday 30 April 2014

  FAODA organized definition symposium in title: Roof and balcony planting in Fayoum culture palace.  In presence of:
Mr. Mahmoud Soliman.. under secretary of the ministry of agriculture in Fayoum, Mr. Hamdy Ameen.. General Manager of GEW with some varieties of Fayoum society such as teachers – farmers – students and Pr0f. Atef Abdel Aziz … Manager of Central Lab for Organic Agriculture (CLOA) displays a presentation on how to prepare good soil to use it on planting roof and balcony which is “Vermi Compost”
By the end of the day, Eng. Mohamed El Medany told the presences that the surprise is the first 20 participants will record their personal data in the electronic form at the initiative’s official Face Book page “Roof planting” will receive the practical training and seedless for free.

Through cooperation between FAODA & ACDI VOCA, they provide training program “Monitoring and Evaluation“, for 4 days for M&E specialists at Fayoum NGOS. That training was by Technical expert in development and women field (Ms. Diane Griffin).

In cooperation with ACDI VOCA:

Through cooperation between FAODA & ACDI VOCA, they provide training program “Accounting and Financial management“, for 3 days for accountants at Fayoum NGOS. That training was by financial expert (Mr. Michael Lawery).

Final conference of RTSG project:

On Monday, 29 July 2013

Final conference of RTSG project was held at Al Omraa hall in Al – Fayoum, in the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs in Fayoum & a representative of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education & FAODA team and all people who are involved in RTSG project from schools, partner NGOs and some of youth  who have been rehabilitated and employed, The Conference included the presentation of all the activities and achievements of RTSG project.

The opening conference of RTSG project:

On Monday, 6 August 2012

      Fayoum Agro Organic Development Association implemented the opening conference of RTSG in cooperating with Nahdet El Mahrousa Association , in the Fayoum Police Club, this project aims to lift the capacities of 300 young male and female of the disadvantaged technical and agricultural school graduates, and to qualify them for the job markets in Fayoum Governorate, the project’s duration is 12 months, the opening conference aims to announce the project and gain the officials’ support to implement the project in Fayoum Governorate , also to announce the project’s idea and how will the project implemented in the governorate.

In cooperation with ACDI VOCA:

July 2012

Through cooperation between FAODA and ACDI VOCA, they provide training program “Rules and organized regulations for producing and exporting organic products to European, American and Japanese markets, for 5 days. That training was by agro organic experts (Mrs. Glenda Sue Bird (Agro Organic specialist) & American United States and Mrs. Robbins Hill (farmer and trading and post-harvest crops transactions for   organic specialist) – American United States).

 Target group: Illiterate women in Fayoum villages.

Project’s area: Al Aalam – Ebheet – Nakalifa – Tunis – Shakshuk – Fedemeen – Barmaky – Alkaaabi – Bihmu villages.

Passport To Success (PTS) Training:

December 2012

FAODA has got license for Passport To Success “PTS” application ( life skills program for International Youth foundation which has been successfully applied to more than 60,000 young people in fourteen different countries, including high , public and private schools, technical institutes, faculties , training teachers, and civil community organizations that serve young people . the training had been through Nahdet El Mahrousa association and eng. Mohamed El Medany, eng. Ahmed Taha and Mrs. Sawsan Shawky had participated in that training and received a Certified Trainer license (Passport To Success).

2011Artisans training initiative:

June: Participation in workshop “needs assessment and institutional building” which held by “citizens for development ” in the management of the joint initiative of the European Union and United Nations entitled “migration and development”.

2009

May:

– Signing a tripartite cooperation protocol between the assembly and all of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency JICA and creativity and fostering talented by to conduct training program for the ladies on hand craft a alargon portraits for three months, in these period were training number of 15 girls and women in the albsionih village, as well as train number of 28 girls and women in the shakshouk village –Abshway district in Fayoum governorate on the hand craft alargon portraits by expert Japanese handicrafts (EKO).

– Organize first taste festival, for calling to return to the popular kitchen culture using herbs for healthy safe food, (on 23 May 2009), with participation of first Convevium members of Italian Slow Food organization in Egypt, which established by the Assembly in the presence of many of the women’s executive leadership and in Fayoum governorate.

June: Signature the contract of sustainable development project for shakshouk village, with social development fund (on 20 June 2009)

July:  Launch of the sustainable development for shakshouk village in cooperation with the social development fund SFD

November: Signing a cooperation protocol with promenade in Fayoum for participation in special campaigns to preserve the environment of areas bordering natural protected area of Wadi El-Rayan.

June: Participation in the world environment day celebrations by the invitation of EEAA, MSEA, Sakeet El-Sawy in Cairo (on 5 June 2008) Starting the marketing handcrafts and environmental products project, by cooperation with Centre of woodwork Egypt ECC.

October: participation the third exhibition and Conference Terra Madre 2008, organized by the Italian Slow Food Association in Torino from October 23, 2008 to October 27, 2008 as well as two members of the Board of Directors representatives Assembly delegation in the strategic planning workshop for Association Slow Food from 28 October 2008 to November 2, 2008 in the southern province of Tuscany Italy.

2007

April: Conduct a training programme on organic agriculture for two agricultural engineer representatives of Saudi society of organic agriculture in Saudi Arabia through the cooperation with German Agency for technical cooperation gtz, (April 8, 2007 to May 17, 2007).

May: Signing a tripartite cooperation protocol between the assembly and the Egyptian environmental education programme E3OP and educational department in Fayoum to educate students about the importance of preserving the environment and (on May 16, 2007).

June:

– Participation in the world environment day celebrations by invitation from EEAA, MSEA, (5 June 2007).

– Signing a cooperation protocol with southern Italian countries organization CISS for participation in the areas of eco-tourism and integration tourism.

July:  Start environmental education project in schools cooperation with the Egyptian Environmental Education Programme E3OP.

October: Start training farmers in organic agriculture practices, cooperation with the Central Laboratory for Organic Agriculture.

December: Organizing the first environmental Festival prizes for school students.

2006

January: Start-up activates the special ministerial decisions to ban the use and circulation prohibited pesticides in agricultural production, funded by Vodafone through the Egyptian Centre for supporting community organizations.

February: Participation in closing conference for development’s priorities in upper Egypt, which was organized by North-South Consultants Exchange NSCE companies (NSCE) jointly with the World Bank  (on 7 February 2006).

April: Participation in 5th Organic exhibition, in partnership with the COSPE Inc. and North-South Consultants Exchange NSCE from (13-14) April 2006.

June: Start-up micro credit for ladies with funding from the USA Embassy in Cairo.

September: Organize and holding a special training program on empower women and activating their role in agricultural community in collaboration with SAFE project- CARE international.

October: Participation in second exhibition and Conference (Terra Madre 2006), organized by the Italian Association of Slow Food – Tuscany province in south Italy from October 26, 2006 to October 29, 2006.

December: 

– Conduct final conference of the draft activate ministerial decisions to ban the use and circulation prohibited pesticides in agricultural production, funded by Vodafone communications through the Egyptian Centre for supporting community organizations together with the Faculty of Fayoum University (on December 4, 2006).

– Participation in a conference for agricultural production for export organized by the Faculty at Fayoum University (on 24 Dec 2006).

2005

March: Visit of Agriculture college University Omar Mukhtar – Libya to Assembly (on 19 March)

May: Integrated Pest Management IPM nominated Mr. Association Director to represent the Association in the presence of training program on organic agriculture by WICC Vakhanng Institute in Netherlands (from May 30, 2005 to June 7, 2005)

June: Start-up organic agricultural products marketing

September: Midwestern University Consortium MUCIA, nominated Mr. Association Director to represent the Association attending special training programme of dry medicinal and aromatic plants and fruit in DETSL Institute Weistnghaosin City, Germany (from September 19, 2005 to September 23, 2005), As well as attend special training programme with fair trade company headquarters in IMC Sinigalia, Italy (from 24 September 2005 to 29 September 2005)

October: Signing a cooperation protocol with each of COSPE Inc. and North-South Consultants Exchange NSCE in organic agriculture and handicrafts (October 12, 2005)

December:

– Start-up recording organic farms.

– Representatives of IMC visit the Association to signing protocol to registration the Association as a service provider of training on the organic agriculture and as representative of the groups of handicrafts producers in Fayoum.

2004

April:  Participation in 3rd Organic exhibition, in partnership with United Company for production and exporting medicinal and aromatic plants.

 July: Start-up the conservation of natural resources project in collaboration with NGO Service Center

August: Issued its first policy and procedures manual for the Organization of work within the Assembly

November: Midwestern University Consortium to MUCIA nominated the vice-chairman of the board to represent the Association in attending the presence of training programme for the marketing of agricultural products, and to identify the markets in the Netherlands and Germany.

December: First annual Conference of Association on 24 December 2004.
